Gold

It’s the ghastly image of gold,
The lingering levity of passion sold…
Your soul! The passive frame
That, within, holds your shame,
Built of bitter, unbenevolent stewing,
The storm’s eternal brewing…
But gold! Gold keeps your eyes apart,
Gold may always hold your heart.
Aye, it is a dastardly demon within
Who paws at strings with a growing grin—
And causes the loathsome ache,
Just so he may laugh and see you wake.
That malignant fiend—with pride—beams!
As he casts himself within your dreams,
You have become his favorite toy—
Which he puppeteers with twisted joy.
It is a treasure trail of gold you follow—
It is gold that preens the pride you swallow.
Gold unearthed to forge the wedding band—
Gold in the ring, of he who holds that hand.

Gentle

There is a heart so gentle, that if
Described as a physical sensation,
It would certainly be subtle elation,
So tender it may go without notice—
Like a butterfly among a snowstorm
Or a candle to a starlit form.

This heart encapsulates such kindness
That it makes acts of altruism appear
As gestures of greed by the sincere—
Charity becomes a motion for criminals
And sinners to perpetuate evil ways,
In contrast to the heart I appraise.

If there is a colour that can elucidate
Her soft touch, it is gold, but alas
That shade appears an earthly brass
When held to her heart—leading me
To believe that there is no metaphor,
To describe her…Yes, I’m sure.

Goodbye Beautiful

Goodbye beautiful happiness,
Simplicity of life—joy in normality.
Goodbye moments we share, togetherness
And feelings of accomplishment—
Farewell to the times gone by,
Where smiles came frequent and
Dog days were wasted in the sun, content.
Goodbye beautiful laughter, beautiful smiles—
A carefree life without responsibility.
Hello jealousy, hate and stress—
Temper, rage and anger.
Goodbye beautiful happiness.

Greatness

Greatness
Your hands, cold, remind me of the terror I’ve felt—
And you, so beautiful in all your youth, sit before me,
Tears of happiness in your eyes, a smile on your mouth.
My lovely, never let us ever drift apart;
Please do mind my heart.
Run away, run away with me as we leave our lives behind—
For reality has not been kind, let us forge a new path
And release the deathly grip that holds us back.
My lovely, I fear we drift apart,
I feel it within my heart.
We could stay awake beneath the stars on summer nights,
Whisper secrets—forgotten dreams, worlds gone by.
If you would someday relinquish that deathly grip,
My lovely, I believe we remain apart
And it hurts, deep within my heart.

Goodbyes

One by one you disappear in front of me,
Before I have time to turn on my mind,
We are scattered by a gentle breeze.
The hallways we walked together are empty,
Now that all the people have gone—
In our hearts we are empty too.
I can’t pretend I understand this feeling,
But at least I have come to recognize it,
As where hearts are broken.
Longing drives us forward
And passion draws the line.
Destinies may intermingle,
But will soon be torn apart.
One by one we will all be torn apart.

Guilt

When I sought for help, I felt filled with guilt—
When I feared imposition I ran home;
With words of ice, my bitterness came built,
My tongue was burnt;  in ice I came to roam.

To me, guilt served as both priest and pastor,
My savior—guilt—ripped me away from you;
He cut out my eyes, called me disaster,
Whispered my name and made me think of you.

Without tongue or eyes, I wandered through hell,
Murmured your name and searched for thirteen years.
By my side was guilt; he caused prey for hell—
When I said your name,  he destroyed my ears.

I thought that I would stay numb forever,
But guilt ended me; all my endeavors.

Goodbye To The Hopeless

Goodbye says the hopeless,
Tick goes the clock,
Tick goes the clock,
Just to prove it's own repetition.
Wave to the hopeless,
Before they kill you in their ambition,

Blinded, blinded in their ambition.
Not to kill you so they say,
But still on you they prey.
Through the moonlight,
Still they stay without cognition,
Without care of what's right.

Who wants you dead?
But those that stay,
Never seem to stray,
Even with two fingers crossed,
The day is already dead,
Yourself just lost.

Speechless so say you,
Then keep your head down,
Forget what was once renown,
So forge through your mind,
And you'll eventually find what's true,
Oh, and what a find.

Blessed is your mind,
But still you stay remedial,
And without so much as a smile.
Standing on a falling bridge,
Passions intertwined,
Your on top of one last ridge.

Goodbye to the hopeless,
Tick goes the clock,
Tick goes the clock,
Time's not to borrow.
Wave to the hopeless,
For you could be smiling tomorrow.
