She takes my hand, grip so tight,
Singing don't you ever go.
My face is lost, to her tears so gold,
Words are useless, I'm torn in two.
I lose myself on a road so far from home,
Forever chasing a wayward goal.
Forget all your restless nights,
Where a song brought tears to your eyes.
I believe it was just a dream,
A dream I lived all my life.
I dream all my life.
I sat on the stairs, for so long,
Afraid I would never escape my dreams.
I reached the bottom, so long ago,
You were there, all draped in red.
My jaded eyes grew so weary,
When I forgot you were a wayward goal.
Forget all your restless nights,
Where a song brought tears to your eyes.
I believe it was just a dream,
A dream I lived all my life.
I dream all my life.
Two eyes like crystal, so clear,
They cut me as I bite my cheeks.
I speak so reluctantly,
My words are shaking in their boots.
I cross my fingers so hard,
I can't believe what I just heard.
Forget all your restless nights,
I dream all my life.
A dream brought tears to your eyes,
I dream all my life;
A dream I lived all my life.
I dream all my life.
